About me

I am a highly trained professional with an academic degree in business administration and over 25 years of working experience in business, government and educational institutions. My native tongues are Dutch and German. I have an excellent command of English and French languages.

I currently work 100% remotely as an in-house and freelance translator. I lived in the Netherlands and Germany for years, so I am familiar with different cultures. I am pleased to use my broad knowledge and experience to provide online support for international companies, academic institutions, translation agencies and individuals.

Approach

Due to my education and experience I understand that a good translator is able to do more than making a perfect translation! I highly favour a one-on-one cooperation between you and me as your translator. Maintaining the right work ethics is an important part of my service to you. As a freelancer I can keep any working hours. In case of urgency I will also translate out of regular office times at no extra costs. I am committed to keeping deadlines with good and timely communication. I guarantee high quality and customer friendly service. All translations will be done personally by me. I have broad software knowledge including multiple CAT-tools but I give all translations the human touch. I always pay a lot of attention to details. I will also check the text on spelling, punctuation, grammatical errors and stylistic consistency. If there are any errors in the source text, I will give you feedback.

I am privacy conscious and will never give any of your documents to third parties.

Even in case of one-off orders I commit myself to full customer satisfaction.

I work with any amount of text ranging from less than 100 words to projects of more than 10,000 words, for example: blogs, emails, templates, frequently asked questions, product labels, websites, manuals, tutorials, etc. in any kind of business.

My maximum capacity in a working day is approximately 3,000 words for translations or 7,000 words for proofreading.
